Blue Light/ Prayer Reflection From New York City-3/22/2002
As I walked toward my car tonight
Six miles from where the buildings stood
Above me like a pale blue hood
Stood the twin towers of azure light
Reaching up to white puff cloud
Then refracted in myriad direction
It spoke in silence that was quite loud
Forget ye not the Resurrection
Yet mindful that in the clay-dust shroud
Remains still wait for detection
Grace us Lord oh savior sovereign
You have granted your protection
Against a terror oh so foreign
Hush the sordid sorrow spun
Remembered always not forgotten
Though the evil think they’ve won
No fruit will bear from trees so rotten
Broken husks fall before the Son

Dear Rev. Croucher, and the brothers and sisters at John Mark Ministries, I wish you and your bothers and sisters here at Bethany Lutheran Church (ELCA)
in case you wondered, or worried, wish you a fruitful and reflective Holy Week and a blessed Easter. This prayer came to me as I was walking towards my car yesterday evening. With the winter sky having cleared, the temperature 20 degrees F, one can see the Lights emanating from the site of the World Trade Center, for approximately 20 miles. Interesting how the blue light’s color brought me full circle to Advent and the parallels between both the Advent and Lenten Seasons. Hope this gives you a NYC perspective/ window. although even words at times fall short of conveying things. I am not alone, as many here, some with justifiable reason, have struggle with the Lights. I do not wish to in any way romanticize them. They are different things to different folk. They will be on I believe in total for approximately 30-40 days.,
Cordially,
Your mate in the states, Do I now say G’Day?
Sincerely,
Frank Attanasia
