Winter Flower
Flower
Frozen petals
Locked in frigid palace,
Outside, icy cold, yet quite warm
Inside

Hands’ Appearance
Hands appearance
Soft rose petal,
Reach to them,
Feel coarse metal,
Pull back, awed, disgusted,
Reactions adjusted,
Within these folds,
Flesh revealing
Hear the Good News,
Beatific bells are pealing,
Look not lofty, nor up on high,
For in the everyday, the Lord is nigh,
Please, do not this, misunderstand,
It wields not, pantheistic hand,
For while the Lord is found in everyday spaces,
None can totally contain, Holy One’s traces,
To intimate that philosophy,
One tends towards, heretical blasphemy

Unmasking
The Devil’s unmasking
Starts when we stop, multitasking,
In case anyone was asking?

A Christmas Greeting from our Family to You and Yours, in lieu of Christmas card.
Who Knew
Who knew that night, in sky’s upper loft
Lone star would be shinning,
Quietly, steady, soft.
Emmanuel, Lord, taking on flesh.
God with us,
Away in a crèche.
Shepherds and sheep followed the star,
Continued steadfast to burn bright.
The Almighty has come this night.
Bringing forth a kingdom of peace;
One ruled not, by sheer fear, nor might.
God does work in ways so unexpected,
Never goes according to plan.
Appearing in ways never suspected.
Salvation for every land.
Matters not color, nor sister or brother;
Love’s strong fortress, not made from sand.
So dance with joy filled noise.
Give praise for honesty’s presence.
The message of Christmas,
Involves not toys.
Rather, freedom from sin, and duplicity within.
An all embracing of, true purity’s essence.
