Iraqi Christians, fearing war, called to prayer
Baghdad (ENI). Iraqi Bishop Shlemon Warduni has one response to all those who ask how they can support the people in Iraq: “Pray for us.” Faced with the possibility of military action against Iraq, the country’s Christians are being called to prayers for peace on 22 November. Bishop Warduni of the Chaldean Patriarchate hopes that all churches and congregations will join in the day of prayer called by his church, which follows the ancient Chaldean rite but is in union with Rome.
