The Church of Scotland is planning to cull more than a third of its hymn-book, making room for more Scottish words and music. "Previously, too many of our hymns have been borrowed," said Douglas Galbraith, coordinator of the Kirk's worship and doctrine office and a member of the committee that prepared this 4th edition of the Church Hymnary. "The new book has vastly more material from the folk and traditional strands of Scottish culture, both lowland and Gaelic." More than 13 percent of Peruvians or some 3.4 million people are disabled, and the vast majority live in poor neighbourhoods in the nation's capital, Lima. With its sprawling desert shantytowns, its cracked sidewalks and malfunctioning traffic lights, Lima, a city of 7 million, is not designed for the disabled. A Christian organisation called Corazones Unidas (Hearts United with Disabled People) is working to make a difference across Peru.
