Protest about Church

BANNED - by Mark Tindall (Birubi:1989)

Not edified? That's too bad!

I'm stepping on your toes

Don't want to hear your waffly goo

Nor watch your Pharisee Show

Ticklin' ears ain't my craft

Propaganda has no part

Truth and beauty are the core

Of truly Christian art

Your Jesus Jingles make me puke

I'm sick of hearing crap

Say something worthwhile

Or simply shut your trap

You'll ban this song just like the rest

You'll crucify me yet

You'll drag me before the Sanhedrin

And crawling things you've met

CHRISTIAN BOX - by Mark Tindall (Birubi:1989)

How dare you dare to question me

How dare you raise your head

How dare you use that brain of yours

Better keep it dead

Don't probe too deep, it's hurting me

Don't point your finger here

Don't pass the problem up to me

'Cause I refuse to hear

You're making ripples, making waves

You're upsetting our tradition

You're a trouble hell bent on

A suicidal mission

Get back into that Christian Box

Don't you be so bold

Get back into the Ghetto now

Do as you are told

Ask no questions, don't dare think

Make sure that you keep quiet

I want you in your Christian Box

On a cow manure diet

Mmm ...wonder why these protest songs are always the ones Christians hate in my concerts???? ;-)
