Ministry is about being a team. The early Gospel tradition recounts that early in Jesus' ministry he drew about him a team of diverse individuals. In that team there was room for a wide variety of personalities and back grounds. In the team setting Jesus was able to harness the individual gifts of each person, build upon those gifts and ultimately, after his Death and Resurrection, the seeds of teamwork that had been planted, bore fruit and that team of disciples became a team of Apostles, carrying on the clear vision of the proclamation of the Gospel to all the world and the founding of communities of faith. A team has to have a clear vision, which every member is working towards. And a vision can only become reality through teamwork. A team works!
