Loving Lord, it's been a turbulent time for your precious daughter _ _ _ _. Give her an extra measure of your peace and love at this time. May she - and may we all - draw our sustenance from the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - and Moses and Jeremiah and Jesus and Paul. Help us all to draw deeply from the ancient wells, and derive our serenity from the God of the everlasting hills. May we know that our security is not ultimately found in systems of belief - or systems of anything - but in a loving relationship with the living God through Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit... And please teach us all that our self-esteem should not be irrevocably tied to the approval or disapproval of others, but from the certain knowledge that we are created in the image of God, and we are loved by God... So may we hunger and thirst for the living God, and love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength - and others as ourselves. Help us all to learn from our experiences on this newsgroup to be deeply humbled by the fact that we are - none of us - fully redeemed. Give us patience with each other along the journey. May the fruits of the Spirit be increasingly experienced by us and out of those spirit-resources may we minister to others: so help us all to grow in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
