Thomas Schmidt writes in his book, Straight and Narrow? "Those persons who cannot speak calmly and compassionately on this subject (homosexuality) need to keep their mouths shut. They need to stay away from microphones and TV cameras." Gordon Dalbey writes, "The conservative temptation simply to condemn and reject the homosexual man not only hinders his healing, it exacerbates the cause of his problem.." Dr. John R.W. Stott writes, "However strongly we may disapprove of homosexual practices, we have no liberty to dehumanize those who engage in them." Richard Lovelace writes, "Most of the repenting that needs to be done on this issue of homosexuality needs to be done by straight people, including straight Christians. By far the greater sin in our church is the sin of neglect, fear, hatred, just wanting to brush these people under the rug."
