One netfriend asked... How many of the original atoms present at your birth are with you now? And then another... How many of the original atoms have been lost forever? And another responded: None, of course, unless they were radioactive. But you will have very few of the atoms you were born with or gained during childhood with you at death assuming you reach a normal age. Atoms come and go from the body amazingly quickly. I find it reassuring to know that, on average, I contain at least one atom that was also in Jesus' body (and one from Julius Caesar, Herod, Pontius Pilate, Hitler etc etc back ad infinitum. The carbon and water cycles waste nothing, other than a little bit of carbon-14.) Whose body do they go to in the resurrection?
