May I suggest that you look at what ancient writers *actually* say about Mithras? I got fed up with the wild talk ages ago, and collected every single mention of the name in classical literature. Here it is:

Note how little there is. Note the lack of basis for the wild and confident claims. Yet... THIS IS ALL THE DATA. If it's not in here, it's imaginary.

I know you didn't make this up, so don't think I'm attacking you. But someone did.
