Just a few days ago I made a very exciting discovery. It comes after 14 years of physical pain and mental confusion, and in answer to the prayers of many for the wisdom of God. I have severe mercury poisoning! I know it doesn’t sound like something to celebrate, but it is a massive breakthrough for me. And I’m sending you this hoping that it will enable you to pray with more understanding for my future. I also hope that my discovery may benefit to you or others you know. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support.

It was through a simple but specific urine test that I learned the reason for my horrific symptoms of the past 14 years. (Things like insomnia, muscle/joint pain, digestion difficulties, unfounded anxiety, routine flu-like symptoms, fatigue, etc.) In fact, mercury poisoning explains some of the strange pains and difficulties of my earlier years as well. What a relief to know why I have felt so bad for so long. My world may not yet be “fixed”, but at least it makes more sense.

To test you for mercury and other heavy metals, they take a urine sample before giving you a chelating drug (DMPS) by IV, and then they take another urine sample 1 1/2 hours after the drug. If your mercury level goes up 10x or more after taking the drug then it’s likely you have a mercury problem; because the drug “pulls” mercury out of any existing amalgam fillings or out of the mercury “deposits” in your tissues. A normal reading for mercury is between 0 and 6 parts per something. Well, my pre-drug reading was 1. But my post-drug urine level was 39! I no longer have any mercury fillings, so I wonder how mercury is stored in my body? Imagine if they had just done a urine test without a chelator; they would have sent me away with the all clear for mercury.

During the test my lead levels also went up, indicating that I have a minor lead problem, probably as a result of not being able to detox well with such a load on my body for so long.

So now in addition to the fungal mycoplasma in my body, (a common by-product of too much mercury), I also have high lead levels and severe mercury toxicity. By the way, high fungal/candida levels actually increase the likelihood of converting the inorganic mercury of dental amalgams into organic mercury which then penetrates your tissues and cells. Thankfully I had the last bit of mercury removed from my mouth a few days before the test. It was in a baby tooth which had a stainless steel cap. (Xrays couldn’t reveal what was under the cap.) The dentist pulled the tooth, and when I took the cap off I uncovered a tooth full of mercury amalgams. The fillings had been ground down in order to assist with fitting the cap some 40 years ago. Of course, grinding mercury fillings is about the worst thing that can be done, because mercury vapours are deadly when inhaled. (I had another tooth just like it removed about 5 years ago which actually gave me some improvement in health; but at that time I didn’t connect it with the removal.) It has also been explained to me that mercury fillings can react with other metals in your mouth (from crowns, root canals, etc.) using saliva as a sort of reacting agent to “pull” mercury out of your fillings and into your body. If you are going to have your amalgams removed, make sure you use the proper protocol.

I am very grateful that my naturopath has 20 years experience dealing with people with mercury poisoning, and the medical doctor who did the testing is familiar with the latest research on detoxing mercury. But if you know of anything which might prove useful in helping me to eliminate the mercury (or the lead), please let me know. I’m particularly interested in the wisdom of those who’ve been through detoxing and their experiences using chelators.

Also, I would appreciate your prayers. I need wisdom in regards to diet and supplements which will help to “pull” mercury/lead “naturally” out of my body, by assisting my liver, kidneys and bowel. And I need to know if and when to use any drugs which may be beneficial in chelating or binding the mercury/lead to remove it. Also, there are things like saunas, enemas, claybaths?, etc. which may prove beneficial. The recovery process could be extremely complicated and cause enormous turmoil, as well as significant expense, but I am convinced that the Lord will lead me through as you and others pray.

One final thing; some of you have health problems which have not been diagnosed, or you know people with chronic health problems which remain undiagnosed. You will be amazed at the health problems related to mercury toxicity. Also, anyone who suspects chronic mercury poisoning would do well to get the DMPS urine challenge test done. It should cost less than $150, and could be the best money you’ve ever spent.
