With the glut of sport we Australians have had recently – Footie finals, Ashes, NRL etc, I’ve been thinking a bit about sport as religion. Does anyone know of any good books on this topic – especially as it relates to us sport mad Aussies?
Response:
Try Tony Carroll, Ego and Soul: The Modern West in Search of Meaning,
He’s a sociologist working out of Latrobe Uni.
