Hiya all! I preached a sermon two Sundays ago about the biblical doctrine of social justice. It's about the strong and the weak confronting each other, the weak searching for justice/fairness, the strong being answerable to God for the use/misuse of power... [Posted on the Usenet newsgroup aus.consumers. You might be interested to follow the discussion there]. Good morning friends, I'm a graduate of seven (7) tertiary institutions but that's not sufficient education apparently to answer a simple question about online banking. I simply want to know: where on the ANZ Internet Banking Site is my next 'due date' for payment of my credit card? A helpful person said it's at the bottom of the 'Credit Card and Transactions' page, and in the top of the drop-down menu at the bottom. So I go there with her, and behold, there's the date for the _last_ month's payment (which I missed by two days for some reasons inferred below) but not the _next_ due date. Question: is there nowhere on this site that tells me the next due date? Answer: No, not until after the statement's issued on the 15th (or 16th, or 17th, depending on whether it's Friday, Saturday or Sunday, if you're following me)... Q Then how long after that do I pay? A Don't know. I'll have to put you through to the credit card section. (Helpful person B there). Q: On what day of the month do I pay my visa bill without incurring interest charges? A. 14 days after the statement on the 15th. Q. So it's the 29th of every month? A. No, not necessarily. Q. No? A. Depends on whether Friday, Saturday... yada yada yada... etc. (My last statement had the due date as the 3rd of March - sumpink to do with Feb. being a low-day month, I guess). Q. So until the 15th of any month (or 16th or 17th depending etc.) I can't find out online when I pay without recurring interest charges? A. Yes. Q. If I pay on the 29th of every month, regardless of whatever... I'm safe? A. Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Q. Is that information anywhere on the site? A. I don't think so. (Conspiracy theory kicks in...) Can anyone enlighten me further? -- Shalom! Rowland Croucher http://jmm.aaa.net.au/index.htm (9200+ articles)
