CHICKEN AT A CHINESE RESTAURANT

A couple at a Chinese restaurant order the "Chicken Surprise," which the waiter brings the meal, served in a cast iron pot with a heavy cast iron lid.

As the wife is about to serve herself, the lid of the pot rises slightly and she sees two beady little eyes looking around briefly before the lid slams back down.

"Good grief, did you see that?" she asks her husband.

He hasn't, so she asks him to look in the pot. As he reaches for it the lid again lifts, he sees two little eyes looking around, and it slams down.

He calls the waiter over, explains what has happened and demands an explanation.

"Please," says the waiter, "what you order?"

"Chicken Surprise."

Ah... so sorry," says the waiter, "I bring you Peeking Duck!"
