From a netfriend:
The United Bible Societies Greek NT is [used in modern] theological studies.
Recent editions of this list Carlo M. Martini as one of the editors.
Various rabid Baptist ministers I have met are astounded when I suggest that they have been learning from a book edited by a Roman Catholic, and an Archbishop at that.
I suggested that they find out who the Archbishop of Milan was – this can be done over the Internet these days.
And when Carlo M. Martini turns up they gulp.
He’s now retired, and living in Jerusalem (the last I heard)
continuing his biblical studies work.
