Apologetics & Social Issues

Uniting Church And Sexuality Reports

the final Report: "Uniting Sexuality and Faith" (1997) is available at:

http://nat.uca.org.au/resources/pdf/UnitingSexuality.pdf

The alternative papers from EMU on "Celibasy in Singleness and Faithfulness in Marriage" and "Homosexuality" may be found at their web site at:

http://www.emu.asn.au

Over the weekend I enjoyed reading Walter Wink's essay, "Homosexuality and the Bible", which may be found at:

http://nat.uca.org.au/resources/pdf/UnitingSexuality.pdf

The couple that Walter refers to at the conclusion of his essay are Tony and Peggy Campolo. See: http://umns.umc.org/98/apr/241.htm

you can find a link to their debate at:

http://www.bridges-across.org/ba/campolo.htm

The point being, if Tony (who is conservative) and his wife Peggy (who is liberal) re. views on sexuality can live under the same roof and share the same bed, surely the church can stay together despite its divergent viewpoints.
