My home Church of approx 450 people on the Sunshine Coast, is focused on firstly identifying areas that we can best serve our Community and then secondly identifying our resourses so we can serve our Community successfully rather than just 'having a go' or being satisfied by 'hit and miss', which of course is better than nothing.

The one thing that I noticed in comparison from my Community activated Church, to Mega Churches, is the attention given by the press closely followed by the curiosty generated by the Press out in the local community.
The Mega Church is given free advertisement and interviews with the Pastor on prime-time television,in conjuntion with their own advertisement efforts.

Whereas most smaller churches are required to do their own advertising and requesting the presence of news, current affairs or free to air community news programs to attend large community projects.
