A Prayer

We seem to give back the dead to you, LORD, who gave them to us. But as you did not lose them in giving, so we do not lose them by their return. Not as the world gives do you give, O lover of souls. What you give you do not take away, for what is yours is ours also if we are yours. And life is eternal and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon, and a horizon is nothing, save the limit of our sight. Lift us up, strong Son of GOD, that we may see further; cleanse our eyes that we may see more clearly; draw us closer to yourself that we may know ourselves to be nearer to our loved ones who are with you. And while you prepare a place for us, prepare us also for that happy place, that where you are we may be also, for ever and ever. Amen.

And also this one (from dogchurch):

Glorified and sanctified be God's great name throughout the world which He has created according to His will. May He establish His Kingdom in your lifetime and during your days, and within the life of the entire House of Israel and all the world, speedily and soon; and say: /Amen/.

May His great name be blessed forever and to all eternity.

Blessed and praised, glorified and exalted, extolled and honored, adored and lauded be the name of the Holy One, blessed be He, beyond all the blessings and hymns, praises and consolations that are ever spoken in the world; and say: /Amen/.

May there be abundant peace from heaven, and life, for us, for all Israel, and for all the world; and say: /Amen/.

He who creates peace in His celestial heights, may He create peace for us, for all Israel, and for all the world; and say: /Amen/.
