Apologetics & Social Issues

Christian Issues in Elections

Three guys in our church who in previous elections were sick of the profoundly inadequate "Christian issues" checklists that supposedly represented the issues that were of concern to them as Christians, put their heads together and see if they could do better. The project took them several months and caused them to research and think through numerous issues that they had not previously thought about deeply. The conclusions of the three authors and don't purport to represent the view of the church nor are endorsed by the church, but I commend them for their efforts. If you are interested with what they came up with you can look at the documents at the following links:

The Checklist: http://www.murrumbeena-baptist.org/mbc/ federalelection/2007checklist The Commentary: http://www.murrumbeena-baptist.org/mbc/ federalelection/2007commentary

They have asked that it be circulated to those interested and welcome feedback.

Barney Zwartz, The Age religion editor linked to it in one of his blogs which has led them into some interesting dialogue with a diverse cross section of the community.
