A Little piece of astonishing political trivia...
Australia's second Prime Minister, 'affable' Alfred Deakin, served three terms as Prime Minister, 1903-04, 1904-08, 1909-10. During the thirteen years of his involvement in Federal politics, Deakin anonymously wrote commentaries on Australian politics for the London Morning Post, *some of which contained criticism of his own actions as Prime Minister* (my emphasis)... Anyone know any other examples of this sort of abnormal behaviour from a serving politician :-) ? Rowland Croucher (Written just after our 2007 federal elections in Australia)
