There is a new theory around you will like! One group is now claiming that time is not a true dimension at all, but simply a statistical property of the universe, a bit like temperature. They claim it comes about from observing collapsing wave functions, so is only perceived by the observer but has no independent reality to the individual entities. Can't see how this can possibly work, myself, but you never know.
