Paul nervously knocked on his blind date's 17th floor flats door. She turned out to be as beautiful and charming as his friends had said. "I'll be ready in a few minutes," she said. "Why don't you play with Max while you're waiting? He does wonderful tricks. He can roll over, shake hands, sit up and, if you make a hoop with your arms, he'll jump through." The cute little dog followed Paul out onto the balcony and rolled over. Then he sat up and shook hands. Finally, Paul made a hoop with his arms and Max jumped right through... and over the balcony railing. Just then Paul heard his date's voice. "Isn't he the happiest dog you've ever seen?" Paul thought fast. "To tell the truth, he seems a little depressed to me!"
