Theology

Religion

From a friend:

I've just been reading an interesting philosophy argument in the Mensa mag, wherein the author argues that religion was created not only to answer "why am I here?" and "who am I?" but also "how do I control things weaker than myself and propitiate things stronger?", so that an inherent part of all religious rituals is an expression of submission to those above us in the authority chain (and especially to the god figure).
