From another thoughtful friend:
“Best Practices” could mean several things, but I will voice a few which may not qualify as “practices” but certainly contribute to the culture of the church.
**A tremendous greeting commonly practiced in India is “Namaste”….The Spirit in Me honors the Spirit in You. A great base for a church….or other group.
** A spirit of acceptance of others wherever “others” may be in their life’s journey. ** Promoting The Full life…living fully, loving wastefully (Spong)
**Crafting Church Administration to a minimal-what is necessary- level. Non suffocating! Above all…transparent and communicative. **Being open….even active or encouraging. of interfaith issues and interests within the community.
**Being active in the community, not exclusive from it, as a “Servant ” to those in need. Many opportunities.
**Above all. Being prepared to expose the church life and direction to the old question….What would Jesus do, think, say, respond.
