Today I was inspired by the story of 13-year-old Jay Mazzone. Don’t know him? (‘Google is your friend’). He was once the Baltimore Orioles’ ‘batboy’. A black kid, he’d lost his hands in an accident, and wore hooks – but would do his work organizing baseball bats with pride, sometimes catching the ball if it came near him. ‘So today Lord, if I complain about something I can’t change, remind me of Jay Mazzone’!
