The original blessing:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.’
From a friend:
We use as chorus the part that begins ‘And until, until we meet again…etc’ so each verse is only replacing the first half of the original Irish blessing, they all end with the chorus.
Verse 2. May the hills come down to meet you
May the trees sway and clap their hands
May you find your home with singing
May good news be heard throughout our land
Verse 3. May your life be full of memories
May your death be sweet and full of peace
May your hope last for eternity
May your joy carry on and never cease.

And a comment from another Facebook friend:
It continues – “and may you find yourself in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you’re dead!” I know this because I’m married to an Irish woman
