Creationists' 'Proofs'

http://creation.com/arguments-we-think-creationists-should-not-use

A very interesting page! The following item from that link are "proofs" that I have repeatedly heard creationists quote.

Nearly all the "proofs" listed on the page were quoted to me when I first got involved in showing up ignorance among creationists. This was prompted by a couple of students questioning me after my introductory lecture in first year applied mathematics, where I outlined the course, and said that we would be using Newton's ideas rather than Einstein's, since Nwewton didn't require any more mathematical background than they already knew from school. In passing I made a comment about teh constancy of teh speed of light, which didn't hold under Newton but did under Einstein. The students asked "Don't you know that it has been shown recently, by an Australian, that the speed of light isn't constant?"

This led me into the "changing speed of light" controversy, with lots of accusations of bias against a Christian researcher who had done the work.

But now Creation Ministries International, successor to the then Creation Science Foundation, accepts that Setterfield was wrong, as I and many other scientists stated way back in 1981.

And the samer has happened with most of teh other "proofs" they offered then. I'm just waiting for one of them to admit that they should no longer criticise radioactive dating methods.
