Your argument is based on a shockingly bad translation of the Hebrew. None of the verbs in the sentence in the original Hebrew could be accurately translated as "replenish." It is more accurate to read it as "be fruitful "... p'ru urvu umel'u es-ha'aretz...."

Donating the King James Version of the Bible that you're using to a library or musuem and getting yourself a copy of the Tanach from either Artscroll Publishers or Feldheim Publishers would diminish most of your translations woes....
