The article listed below tells of the plight of Dick Smith foods as a result of legal action being taken by American Owned Campbell’s (Arnott’s) against his company for using the name Temptins for a biscuit they are selling. While there is little chance that Campbell’s winning the case, the court costs would bankrupt Smith’s company and of course Campbell’s are only too well aware of this.
This is nothing other than “bully boy” type corporate tactics.
Further details are available on the website listed below.
If you forward this email on to everyone on your list and they do the same etc and if all these people stop buying Campbell’s/Arnott’s products then it may well be that they will get a worthwhile message.
All the profits from Dick Smith foods go to charity. So far, $1.9 million dollars have been donated.
So how about it? I’m sure the world can survive without eating Campbell’s soups etc and Arnott’s biscuits. But can Campbell’s/Arnott’s survive if this happens?
