Even Adam and Eve had their problems: One day Adam got angry. "You've done it again, Eve," said Adam. "This is the second time this week you've put my shirt in the salad." Adam may have had his troubles, but at least he didn't have to listen to Eve talk about the man she could have married. On the other hand, Eve never had to listen to Adam raving about his mother's cooking! Conversation between Adam and Eve must have been difficult at times--they had nobody to talk about. Sunday School teacher: "Adam and Eve lived thousands of years B.C. What does B.C. stand for?" Student: "Before clothes?" The first Adam-splitting gave us Eve, a force which men of all ages have never gotten under control. Eve was the first woman to utter the words, "I haven't a thing to wear." But she really meant it. Adam may have been the only grandpa in history who never told his grandkids a story that started with the words, "Back when I was a boy..."
