My understanding of BI is that, in a nutshell, it teaches that the lost ten tribes of Israel (the northern kingdom) were dispersed to northern Europe, whence they later migrated to the UK. The major consequences of this are that the British peoples are the true inheritors of the promises of God to his ancient people, the Jews, and that the Royal Family of the UK is descended genetically and spiritually from the house of David.
Aside from being exceptionally bad history, there are consequences which derive from BI for which I can find no other word than racist. These include-
1. The implication that White anglo- saxon people are (and/or have been) especially blessed by God, in relation to other people.
2. The implication that the Jews of today are not really Jews, and have no share in the promises of God recorded in the Hebrew scriptures.
I have seen some people who promote BI deny one or both of these things, but I fail to see that BI has any point at all without them.
This is not about the interpretation of the Bible, nor about the quality of the historical data that may or may not support BI. I am sure that we could argue about those things for ages (and no doubt some will misunderstand my post and take us off on those tangents).
Rather, I am concerned to expose and reject a teaching which is presented by some churches as part of the Christian message, but which in fact can have no other consequences than to justify white people in feeling superior to other races, and disenfranchising the Jews.

** I also stated that the doctrine of "Bristish Israel" is a racist doctrine, and those who promote it are racists. I stand by that opinion.
* Nigel,
* Since racism is of particular interest to me in my own personal studies at present, I'd like to know what your rationale for making this allegation is. What is your understanding of the term "racist" and what evidence is there that BI is racist. I asked Christian for his personal views and, if they match BI, I don't see how racism can be inferred. Perhaps you could enlighten me as I am all but totally ignorant of BI and its doctrines.
