There is also some anti-Semetism involved, because the Jews are considered to be decendants of Esau's corrupt seed. So, what is of greatest concern for me is that the British Israel teaching has strong affiliations / similarities to Hitler's own conception of Aryan supremacy.

Nicholas' statement is completely consistent with all the teaching on British Israelism that I have ever seen. A while ago there were howls of protest when I branded BI and its' promoters as racist, but I really cannot see how it can be described as anything else.

Anyone who has studied English history at even the most basic level will acknowledge that the "Queen Elizabeth descended from King David" part of BI is complete nonsense, so what you really end up with is an argument that goes something like "The Jews are not really the heirs to God's promises, but the British are". A person of anglo- saxon descent who holds this doctrine is completely justified in damning the Jews and ignoring or marginalising people of other races. If they don't do that, then I wonder why.

I will repeat the challenge I put on the newsgroup last time this subject was discussed. Let a person who supports British Israelism post a detailed statement about the Jews of today. Who are they, what are they, and what is their relationship with God? I suspect that the answers to these questions will enable all of us to have a much greater understanding of what BI really is.
