Right. But an evangelical person’s viewpoint is governed by their acceptance of the Scriptures as authoritative in all matters of faith and practice (which is my position)…

All our understandings of God are refracted through the prism of our understanding
The biblical writers are brilliant examples of this: they knew in part, and the parts make up a beautiful whole. They did not believe they had access to the whole of ‘absolute’ truth (that is only for sectarians and arrogant know-alls)…
