I occasionally get emails correcting this matter. I'll leave you all to judge! (In my view it's not the most vital matter to be studying in terms of the Bible and our daily lives :-)! Shalom! Rowland Croucher ~~~ [From a netfriend]: Hi ! Are you responsible for one of those pages : http://www.bibleplace.com/trivia/t_center_of_the_bible.htm http://marciesalaskaweb.com/biblecenter.htm http://www.bible--truth.com/ http://www.geocities.com/dust2dustnc/centerhb.html http://graceland.gentle.org/divine/centerb.html http://jmm.aaa.net.au/articles/4201.htm http://www.creatingfutures.net/archive/stories/centerbible.htm http://www.montney.com/inspire/center.htm http://www.markandmack.com/goodies/centerbible.htm http://www.angelfire.com/mi2/dreco/Odds and Ins/Page118.html http://www.spiritualsisters.com/messages/583.html http://www.nfbnet.org/pipermail/faith-talk/2003-June/002220.html http://chansen.tzo.com/Subjects/Spirituality/Inspiration/CenterOfThe%20Bible .htm http://www.emmauschristianchurch.com/ If you are.. you may want to correct it... Assuming we are talking about the Protestant Bible ( not the Catholic, Jewish, Mormon or Jehovah witnesses Bibles ), then : 1) the middle chapter is actually the Psalm 117, which is also the shortest chapter with only 2 verses. ( not Psalm 118 as stated in your page ) 2) There is no middle verse in the Bible since the Bible has 31,102 verses ( an even number ). But the center point is located between verse 1 & 2 of Psalm 103. Check here for references : http://www.snopes.com/religion/center.htm http://www.gospelcom.net/knowtheword/Art_Center.shtml http://prayerfoundation.org/not_center_verse_of_bible_118_8.htm http://www.becksbaptist.org/Stories/Pages_1-99/Main_Stories_16.html Please do not propagate incorrect information without double-checking it first.. According to Google there are over 100 pages on the internet that are duplicating the same mistake. That says a lot about the gullibility of Christians.
