Mission and vision.

These two words are very popular today, Lord,

Yet many people seem to have a problem defining them.

Mission is the reason for existing – why we are here.

And vision is beyond goals – rather -

The dream of where we want to go and want to be.

In your kingdom, Lord,

There should be no doubt about these matters.

I want to live to worship and serve you,

To align myself with, and to contribute actively to your will. [1]

That’s my mission Lord.

There will be many components, and actions within this -

Speaking, listening, doing, helping, going, waiting.

Show me how, Lord. I’m ready.

And the vision is glorious.

I look forward now to the day

When every knee will bow and proclaim you as Lord. [2]
