Our new starter was so excited, The first day of her working life - a new graduate. New clothes too, with student denims set aside. We took her to lunch to welcome her into the team. Energy made up for lack of experience, But that came quickly as skills were passed on and shared. Now it was the new I.D. card, own desk and phone, The prospect of external meetings with some travel, Of growth on into the business. Maybe one day, she'll be general manager! I was excited the day I joined up with you, Lord. The day you gave me the grace to respond, And touched me with the reassurance of acceptance. I sat and worshipped at your table. Lord, help me not to forget the first brightness and joy of being part of your family. [1] Now it has grown into a deeper understanding of your love, wisdom, purpose and power.
