We've had to make people redundant from time to time, And now it's my turn. The office is to be relocated, and it's not practical for me to move. I am happy because you are leading me into new pastures, and I'm ready for a change. It is not so easy for others. Coping with not being wanted, Some of our staff need to secure new work urgently, Others have major family and financial commitments. When these moves are required, Lord, Help me to act with dignity and care for those affected. Is death redundancy? No longer required in this life? That's a sensitive question that need's to be handled carefully. But I need to view it positively, not negatively. One day you'll have more important things for me to do, And you'll shift me on into a new life. [1] But just now, there are things to do here, And I thank you for making me part of the team. Thank you Lord, that life with you has meaning, That there is no redundancy, just relocation, With great joy. 1. Philippians 1 v 21. Copyright Howard Smith 2002. All Rights reserved.
