Business Praise 36. Growth – Business Travel

Here we go again. Another business trip! Early start to the airport, one hour flight,

Taxis, four appointments, meal, and return.

Same day this time,

But I know all about hotel rooms.

Business travel is required for people contact.

Phone and letters, even video conference

don’t make up for the personal touch.

They miss the informal and nonverbal communication

And are ineffective at communicating commitment.

I need people – as product champions,

consultants, business partners, contractors,

and most of all customers.

The warm greeting and handshake is imperative.

You knew all about people contact, Lord.

That’s why you came here.

The previous succession of your agents never really pulled it off. [1]

And you showed us the example

of one-on-one personal contact.

Help me to apply these lessons from the business world

To your wider and more important eternal business,

And thereby secure contracts and support for you.
