We need to make a profit every year with 15% growth.

The system requires it.

It impacts on share value, dividends, priorities for investment,

And in the long run, on the security of our jobs.

Your word speaks about profit.

“All hard work leads to profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” [1]

“The plans of the diligent lead to profit,

as surely as haste leads to poverty.” [2]

There are also some warnings: -

“But whatever was to my profit

I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.” [3]

“What good is it for a man to gain the whole world,

yet forfeit his soul?”4

Lord, help me to get the balance right,

To be responsible to our business

without compromising the integrity that I’m learning from you.
