There is no better place to check stories, hoaxes, facts, rumors, fiction than http://www.truthorfiction.com. I know many people like to send on items that sound good, make us tear up, help us be mad at politics, funny stories that make us laugh, encourage our souls, etc. But I hope that you will avail yourself of the services of the TruthOrFiction.com website to check all this out...when it comes to you...before you send it on to others...to see if it IS truth or fiction. It is well worth your every effort to check in on the website. And...beyond what you get by just going to the site, there is an extra service that will allow you to get "web-alerts" of great value to your computer, your business computers, your sanity at what gets sent through cyberspace. I encourage you to consider subscribing. As a case in point...read below. Judy and I personally know the man who has founded this website. We trust what he does...says...and encourages within http://www.truthorfiction.com. This has been an important website to us...and will continue to be as we use the web for both important personal and work communication. I've recently received an increase in many incorrect to untrue items that are being passed off as "gospel truth." 'Tis amazing what any of us (yup, even me) fall for...but, I, too, am learning my lessons. :) I sincerely hope you will take consistent advantage of all that is offered on http://www.truthorfiction.com...before you send anything on to anyone else. I'll do my best to do the same. In light of that...here is an email which was received this morning from http://www.truthorfiction.com. Be safe...be careful...be fun and playful...be truthful...and be at peace today. ...glad to be on the journey of life with you, Wes Roberts Founder/CCO Leadership Design Group/Life Enrichment Parker, Colorado 80134 * * * * * * * There is quite a bit of buzz about a new virus. It's got various names, but they all have the word FIZZER in them. It's being popularly referred to as THE FIZZER WORM. It affects Windows Machines, not Macs, Linux, or Unix machines. It's a mass-mailing worm. It uses addresses from the Windows address book. It can keep a log of all your keystrokes as you type. It can also send itself through the popular KaZaA file sharing network. It includes a feature that could allow a hacker to take control of your computer remotely. It attempts to disable anti-virus software. It arrives as an email attachment. The attachment may have varying extensions or names. Also, the email address from which it seems to have been sent will probably not be the actual source of the virus. Be sure you have virus protection software and that the definitions are up to date.
